What We Do.KRC's programs aim to meet the educational, communal, and spiritual needs of the KL refugee community.

EDUCATION-BASED INITIATIVES
Empowering refugees through high-quality, hope-filled learning.
In a community where 84% of children (ages 13–17) are not in any type of school, education remains perhaps the greatest need for refugees in Kuala Lumpur. Kingdom Refugee Care addresses this gap by providing accessible, high-quality learning opportunities that give refugees the tools to build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
GED Future Leaders ProgramThe Future Leaders GED Program is KRC's most ambitious initiative. It aims to provide young refugees (ages 15-20) with a high-quality, American-based education, resulting in a GED certificate. Students from all communities and faith backgrounds are welcome at the Hub to participate in this program. |
Apprentice ProgramThe KRC Apprentice Program equips GED graduates to become the next generation of teachers and leaders in their communities. Apprentices work alongside KRC teachers, observing classes, receiving mentorship, and gradually taking on teaching responsibilities of their own. By investing in their skills and experience, we hope to develop educators who can create meaningful learning opportunities for refugee students for years to come. |
COMMUNITY-BASED INITIATIVES
Loving our neighbors through faithful presence and practical help.
KRC's community programs bring our mission outside the walls of the Hub and into the greater refugee community of KL. Our Outreach Programs aim to reflect Christ’s love in word and deed—so that refugees may know they are seen, valued, and deeply loved.
Kingdom ClinicKingdom Clinic is KRC's biannual medical outreach that partners with local churches and volunteer healthcare professionals to provide free, high-quality medical and dental care to refugees in Kuala Lumpur. By combining professional care with trusted community partnerships, Kingdom Clinic strengthens relationships within the refugee community and expands access to essential health services. |
Conversation ClubsConversation Clubs invite people from different cultures into the Hub to build meaningful relationships while practicing English in a welcoming environment. Each club creates a relaxed space for participants to develop their communication skills, share their stories, and connect with others in the community. Through conversation, we hope to build bridges across cultures and create lasting relationships between the church the refugee community. |
FAITH-BASED INITIATIVES
Bringing hope and truth through presence, prayer, and proclamation.
KRC believes that people flourish when their whole selves—body, mind, and soul—are cared for. Our faith-based programs nurture spiritual growth by inviting refugees into a deeper relationship with Christ—so they can experience lasting hope, healing, and purpose in every area of life.
Mobile ChurchKuala Lumpur is home to one of the largest concentrations of persecuted Christians in the world. If refugee believers can’t get to church, KRC is committed to bringing church to them. Our first Mobile Church is at the Peace Education Centre (TPEC), where over 50 refugee children from Myanmar’s Chin State live. In partnership with KRC's partner churches, we bring Sunday worship, lunch, and games to TPEC twice a month. |
Kingdom CampThe Kingdom Camp is the largest refugee-focused VBS in the world. In partnership with local and global churches, KRC welcomes over 250 children (ages 6–11) from refugee communities across Kuala Lumpur for a vibrant, three-day event. KRC provides free transportation and meals, while our partner churches bring the curriculum, energy, and unforgettable memories. It’s not only a chance to serve the nations—but to serve with them, side by side in the work of the Kingdom. |
Christmas with KRCEach Christmas season, KRC partners with churches in the refugee community to host a joyful celebration for refugees of all backgrounds. This annual event reflects the unity and diversity of Kuala Lumpur’s refugee community. Through food, music, games, and small gifts for each child, we aim to create a space of joy, belonging, and hope during what can be a difficult season for many displaced families. |
