OUR VISION.

Part school, part church, part community center.

OUR VISION: A Kingdom Hub

Where the needs of the refugee community intersect with the love of Christ
KRC's vision is to secure a property in the heart of KL that will become a hub for Kingdom work. Therefore, a Kingdom Hub must be a multi-functional space where all nations are welcome, where goodness and justice reign, and where God's people work together for His glory, a place where "light shines before others, that they may see our good deeds and glorify our king" (Matthew 5:16).
A Kingdom Hub is a School
According to the most recent UNHCR Malaysia statistics, 86% of refugee children (ages 13-17) are not in school. By creating a school for older students, we are addressing one of the greatest needs within the refugee community.  Our learning center offers an American-based curriculum and halal meals, ensuring that quality education is available to children of all faiths and backgrounds. The school will be supported by local churches, church volunteers, and the refugee community.
Our Vision: Garden City Learning Centre
A Kingdom Hub Is a Community Center
During non-school hours, the Hub transforms into a multi-purpose community center. The center would provide basic services to the KL refugee population with things like periodic health screenings, a food pantry, adult English and entrepreneurial classes, meeting spaces for small groups and community gatherings, and a place to welcome short-term teams from the US. In short, the community center would be where the needs of the refugee community intersect with the love of Christ.
A Kingdom Hub Is a Place of Worship
On Sundays, the space converts into a place of worship for the refugee community. We partner with local and American churches to provide pastoral training and provide our space, rent free, for refugee pastors in our training pipeline. This would help serve a small percentage of the many refugees who have had to flee their homes due to the simple fact that they proclaim the gospel message as truth. It would also help build up church leaders within their communities.
A Kingdom Hub Is an Extension of the Church
The Hub is a vibrant space where the church can actively engage with both the Great Commission and the Great Commandment—the two foundational pillars of the Christian life. It will be a place where church members can put into practice the truths they study, living out their faith in tangible ways, and ultimately growing in Christ-likeness—the ultimate goal of every disciple.
KRC is constantly praying for a property that can accomodate the many funcations of a Kingdom Hub. Join us in praying and looking for properties that meet the following specs:
  • Location: Kuala Lumpur or Subang
  • Costs: Between 4,000-6,000 MYR (or 850-1,270 USD)
  • Size: Between 3,500-6,000 sq. ft.
  • Other Needs: cooking is allowed, multiple bathrooms, easy access to outdoor space, commercial and residential listing, willing to rent to refugees
Join us in prayer -- that God would provide this place for His glory.
