June 24-26: Kingdom Camp
KRC's second annual Kingdom Camp was bigger and better than ever!
But the numbers only tell part of the story. More importantly, children learned about our perfect, powerful, and present Savior in small groups, sang (and occasionally screamed!) His praises during worship, and asked thoughtful questions about the God who loves them so much that He gave His own life to save them.
- 250 refugee children representing 5 schools and 5+ people groups
- 100+ volunteers from 8 churches

It was a joy to watch the Holy Spirit stir hearts throughout the week as children developed a genuine curiosity and growing hunger for God's Word.
As one volunteer put it, "During lunch today we gave the kids the option of playing at the octagon or going back to our classroom and reading the Bible more and every single kid said they wanted to read the Bible. We ended up sitting down and breaking into groups and just reading Jesus’ miracles together for 30 minutes on top of the time we already spent in Bible!! The interest and engagement of all ten of our students was insane and such a gift!!!!"

During Kingdom Camp, the Lord began to confirm a calling and answer a prayer of mine to draw me to a place he desires for me to be overseas. I’ve prayerfully felt such a strong pull to this ministry and the refugee community of Malaysia and am prayerfully considering what it would look like to be able to join this team long term.

June 20: World Refugee Day
KRC partnered with two local churches, including the Pakistani refugee church Jesus Is Alive, to host a World Refugee Day celebration for more than 150 refugee children. KRC mobilized 30 volunteers to help make the event possible.

It was a joyful day of worship, games, and fellowship, giving children the opportunity to feel seen, loved, and celebrated.
One of the greatest blessings was welcoming nearly half of the children from a nearby Muslim school, where they heard the gospel shared by KRC volunteers. Their teachers also attended the event and, afterward, expressed interest in partnering with KRC in the future. God is moving in the KL refugee community!

June: Churches Partnering for the Gospel
June was a busy month for hosting teams! In addition to the 100+ volunteers who served at Kingdom Camp, we welcomed 40+ more volunteers to the Hub during the first half of the month. Altogether, KRC partnered with 10 churches in June alone!
King's Church (Wilmington, NC) brought 17 college students who joined our students for a two-day Leadership Academy focused on developing an asset-based leadership mindset. The two groups quickly became friends, and King's Church students continued building relationships over coffee and tea, leading to meaningful gospel conversations. KRC loves hosting young teams who can connect with our students on their own level. Keep them coming!

Harvest Bible Church (Paragould, AR) brought 17 team members to serve alongside KRC throughout the week. They shared meals in refugee homes, served meals to children, gave Mr. Victor a much-needed evening of respite from caring for the 50+ TPEC students, shared the gospel with one of the world's most unreached people groups, taught Leadership Academy (complete with Airheads for the students!), and served wherever there was a need. Everywhere they went, they loved with the heart of Christ.
May 27-30: Kingdom Clinic
In May, KRC partnered with Plantation Family Dental Care to host a four-day mobile dental clinic across Kuala Lumpur. The clinic began at our partner school, The Peace Education Center, where every child received a dental examination and many received much-needed treatment.

On days two and three, the clinic moved to the Hub, allowing our students' families to receive free dental care while also getting to know the KRC team. It was a wonderful opportunity to strengthen relationships and build trust within the refugee communities we serve.
The final day took place at our partner church, Garden City Church KL, where we partnered with the local Afghan Christian community to serve Afghan families. Many invited friends and relatives to the church for the first time, creating meaningful opportunities for fellowship and gospel conversations.

By the end of the week, the Kingdom Clinic had provided care for 148 patients, including 66 extractions, 48 fillings, 46 cleanings, and 71 fluoride treatments. Beyond the dental care, more than 60 family members connected with KRC for the first time, and two new students enrolled in our GED program.
The Kingdom Clinic was a beautiful reminder that meeting physical needs often opens the door to lasting relationships and eternal hope.

May: Service Month
Throughout May, KRC's Leadership Academy focused on one simple question: How can we serve our community? Students researched local needs, formed strategic partnerships, and designed service projects that would make a meaningful impact.

The result was two incredible initiatives. First, our students partnered with The Peace Education Center (T-PEC) and the Kingdom Clinic dental team to teach health lessons on nutrition, exercise, and dental hygiene to younger refugee children. Second, they partnered with The Assembly Soup Kitchen (TASK) to prepare 250 meals, then worked alongside Food 4 U to deliver them to elderly and disabled Malaysians across Kuala Lumpur.
Perhaps the most powerful part of these projects was who was serving. Refugees—people who are often overlooked and excluded by society—were the ones meeting the needs of others. Their willingness to love and serve the Malaysian community reflects the heart of Christ, who loved us first, even when we did not deserve it.
