July 2025 - KRC

After walking away from a 20-year teaching career, Founder Miles Macleod steps into the role of Director on July 1, 2025. KRC is official!

October 2025 - The

KRC signs a two-year lease for an 1,800 sq. foot space in Maluri, one of the highest density refugee areas in the city. We now have the Hub, but there's lots of work to do.

January 2026 - GED
|
KRC launches our flagship educational program: the GED Future Leaders Program with 20 students, representing 7 distinct refugee communities in KL.

May 2026 - Kingdom
|
KRC partners with a dental clinic in Charleston, SC, a local church, and multiple refugee schools to host our first-ever mobile dental clinic. In total, 148 patients were seen, including our students' families--all for free!

KRC hosted its second annual Kingdom Camp—and it was bigger and better than ever! More than eight churches joined forces to serve 250 refugee children, creating a week filled with joy, worship, and the hope of the gospel.

FY 2025 Stories
* ZahraOver the past year, KRC has brought more than half a dozen volunteer teams to Zahra’s apartment to share her authentic Afghan cooking and support her informal catering work. In Malaysia, refugees are not permitted to run formal businesses, so she operates from her home.
Over time, her family has grown more comfortable with visiting Christian volunteers, and what began as simple shared meals has grown into moments of laughter, prayer, and honest conversation—including stories of their journey out of Afghanistan. Recently, KRC’s volunteer coordinator—who had built a relationship with Zahra through repeated visits—asked if she would be open to meeting a Christian friend who speaks her language. Zahra agreed. In that meeting, she was invited to read the Bible and expressed interest in continuing the conversation, agreeing to regular follow-up meetings. This is a quiet but powerful story of long-term faithfulness: small, consistent acts of respect and presence that built trust over time and opened the door for deeper relationship and exploration of faith. |

* Abdul KarimAbdul Karim first reached out to KRC a few months ago. As a Rohingya Christian—a very rare identity within the Rohingya community—he was seeking support to establish a learning center for Rohingya children.
Since then, KRC has visited his emerging learning center, spent time encouraging him, and even met with a small group of Christians from his community who gather discreetly in his apartment for worship. More recently, KRC connected Abdul Karim with a mature believer who is discipling him. We have also helped him connect with an international church where he can worship in a safe and welcoming environment. Today, Abdul Karim is growing in his faith, building Christian community, and laying the foundation for a school that will serve his people. His story is a reminder that supporting one faithful leader can have a multiplying impact on an entire community. |

GbengaNearly every Thursday, Gbenga arrives at the Hub around 1:30 p.m., just as our students are settling into math class. He quietly walks through the classroom, slips into the storage room, takes the list of student names KRC has given him, and begins to pray.
For the next hour, he faithfully intercedes—for each student by name, for our staff, and for the work God is doing through KRC. Week after week, his quiet act of faithfulness goes largely unnoticed. Yet we believe they matter. Along with the prayers of hundreds of faithful supporters around the world, Gbenga's prayers have been part of the story of what God has done through KRC's first year—transforming lives and accomplishing far more than we could have imagined. A few weeks ago, one of our students attended church for only the second time in her life. While she was there, we introduced her to Gbenga. Immediately, she recognized him as the man who walks through her math class every Thursday. When we explained what he was doing each week at the Hub, she smiled. Someone she barely knew had been praying for her long before she ever stepped into a church. Now, a young woman from one of the world's least-reached people groups stood beside the man who had been praying for her all along—a beautiful reminder that God often answers quiet, unseen faithfulness in remarkable ways. |
