Three ways your church can collaborate with KRC today!
1. SEND THE CHURCH
|
Equip Trips
Equip Trips are customized short-term trips designed to blend hands-on discipleship with a network of local partnerships, challenging and equipping participants to live out their calling as ambassadors for God’s kingdom. Internships
KRC is able to host individual volunteers in specific internship roles (1 month-2 years). These internships provide young people with a unique opportunity to grow their skills and their faith while working alongside church planters, NGOs, and educators to make a difference in the KL refugee community. Short-term Hosting KRC's mission and ministry model promotes constant collaboration between KRC and short-term teams. We can host up to 30 people at a time. We can help churches plan their short-term teams by assisting in volunteer placement, itinerary development and logistics, equipping & training, managing expectations, and connecting volunteers to the refugee community. |
2. RECEIVE REFUGEES
|
Malaysia is home to over 200,000+ refugees and none of them have a chance of citizenship in Malaysia. They are here waiting, hoping, praying that one day they may be invited to a country like America to start a new life.
KRC wants to help churches identify and sponsor refugee families through the Welcome Corps program. We can provide resources and partnerships in America that will help your church walk through the process. You can learn more about the Welcome Corps by clicking on the link below. If you are interested in finding a family for your church to sponsor, contact us today. |
3. PARTNER TO PLAN
|
KRC hosts three major events each year, but we can't do it without churches collaborating with us. If your church would like to play a major role in hosting these events, contact us!
1. Kingdom VBS CampOur inaugural VBS Camp hosted over 200 refugee children (2024). Our vision is to one-day host the largest VBS for refugee children in the world. But we can't reach this vision without multiple churches partnering with us for the sake of the Gospel.
We are looking for a handful of American churches to help us coordinate volunteers, develop and deliver curriculum, and share costs. When we partner in this way, we reflect the the body of Christ and demonstrate the strength of a global church working for a common mission. When: Every summer 2. Kingdom ConferenceWith over 50 countries represented in the KL refugee community, the global church has a unique opportunity to help equip, disciple, and send Christian refugees to be a light to the nations.
Our vision is to host an annual conference that is for refugees and by refugees. We imagine a conference with guest speakers, panel discussions, and breakout sessions that contextualize the unique challenges and special giftings found within the Christian refugee community. But we need the global church to make it happen. The refugee churches and communities do not have the funds to host this event. Churches can help fund, plan, serve, and learn at this annual event. When: Every other fall |
3. Christmas CelebrationChristmas time is an easy and obvious opportunity to share the love of Christ with the diverse refugee community. This two day event brings the church into the refugee community. On Day 1, we host a Christmas block party, and on Day 2, we invite the community to join us for a Christmas celebration.
The local and global church is invited to join the celebration and help us host this memorable event every December. When: Every December |
